Well I wrote a post before leaving on our trip to California but scrapped the whole thing. Just not feeling the whole blogging thing these days, I guess with so much else going on in my life, I have to let some things go. I still read blogs on my phone everyday when at work, because so much of the time it's so freaking boring...

We had a good trip down to Santa Barbara for Terry's parent's 50th anniversary. Finally met her two brothers, youngest sister, and mom. They did a family portrait as the big present to them, and it was decided that I should be included in it, which I thought was very nice. A couple of Terry's sisters asked her if she thought I'd still be around in three years, and that was the deciding factor I guess, ha! (I'll throw the photos up on my FB page for those who know me there) I also was able to see my sister for the first time in a year and a half, and she met Terry for the first time as well.

We're still trying to finish off the backyard, but the weather isn't cooperating at all. Lots of rain and cool temps, a trend I predict will carry through the summer.

Continuing the theme of my last post, it was sad to read of two more deaths. First a blogger (Rob aka Mutley) who died in his sleep, then I read on a friends FB page of a friend of hers that died of a massive heart attack not even a half hour after she had spoken with him on the phone. He was only 44, and Rob was 46. Both so young. It serves as a reminder to go out and do the most with everyday we get, because you just never know when you'll run out of them...

Every time I return to read to updates on Rob's memorial site, I start to cry again.

I'm glad you and Terry had a good trip. I saw the photos on FB, nice big gathering! And it's lovely they included you in the fold...nyaaaaaw. ;o)

Mutley was so, so young... I didn't know him, but knew of him. The terrible sorrow that is felt by everyone in the blogging community is so sad.

I hope you keep on blogging... I only just found ya! :o)

*hugs* Sweetie. I'm so sorry for all the loss you have experienced. I just read the post about your former MIL.

I didn't know Rob, but I always think of blogland as a big family. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those who loved him, either in person, or via his writing.

I'd love to see the family pic! I don't have FB. Honey does, but that's because her life is far more exciting than mine! I do have email, so if you ever feel so inclined, send one my way.

Always happy to see a post from you. Even better when my computer is cooperating and letting me post comments!

Hi John. I don't know, maybe I want to know I'm going so I can make all the arrangements and say goodbye to all those I love and are close to me. Going in your sleep is though seems peaceful.

i didn't comment in his blog much but I loved his posts.

later honey. xxx
