oh boy,,,or girl i suppose...

For a multitude of reasons I won't go into, I found myself getting up and venturing out into the great frozen north (18f) at 3:30 this morning to buy a pregnancy test.

False alarm, as we thought it most likely would be, but for a little while there, thoughts of diapers and baby bottles were swimming in our heads, as we looked at each other and said no fucking way, right?

That would have been interesting...

As Sergeant Esterhaus used to say on Hill Street Blues: Hey, let's be careful out there.

John: You had a wonderful happy feeling mixed with in that "Oh My" thought.

when I got pregnant. 1)I thought no way. 2) then it was the most wonderful magical feeling ever...3)Then the morning sickly feeling made me throw up again.

hehehe. You just never know when you will be surprised into happiness or into sadness.

Jeebus...wudda scared the shaiza outa me. An equal fear is that for one reason or another I might have to become the main caretaker for the grandkids if something happened to their parents. Then I'd have the grief of the reason but also then have to parent again. Slit my wrist situation, for sure. :)

I KNEW it! Not sure if you're happy not to be or would have been happy to be... Either way... Take care.

XL: We haven't been worried really because Terry has only had one menstrual cycle since we've been together, and that was 11 months ago. She been going through the change for several years now.

Yes Spiky, I did. To be honest, having a baby with Terry would have been great. Midnight feeds and diaper changes not withstanding ;)

Gillette: Exciting and scary I think...

Sulpicia: No, that's not what a meant about little changes coming to our place. That is something else entirely. And we would have been happy either way.

Doug: Ya, maybe so, although the chances of Terry getting preggers is very slim at this point.

Jen: Ya, the thought that I would be 68 when the baby would graduate high school did give me pause...
